Join Community Choices for a FREE Film Screening!!!

We are proud to be hosting a free screening of The Fish Don’t Care When It Rains on October 12th at the IMC.

As an organization supporting adults with I/DD, we believe it’s important to create opportunities for our community to learn, listen, and engage with stories that she’d light on the experiences of people with disabilities.

The Fish Don’t Care When It Rains is a documentary about Jen Msumba’s experience during the years she spent at the Judge Rotenberg Center, offering an opportunity to reflect on disability, institutionalization, treatment, and the importance of dignity and self-determination.

This Sundance film sheds light on disability, institutional abuse, resilience, and the urgent need for awareness and change. An important and deeply moving story that deserves to be paid attention to and heard. We're hiring a SOCIAL & ADVOCACY COACH! *Sign-on & Retention Bonuses Available!*
This is a full-time position in our Connect Department. This person with this role will work 1:1 and with groups of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to build their social capital, leadership potential, and personal connections by exploring their interests, passions, and strengths. The position will also support the organization’s cooperative structure by helping to develop tools that allow members to easily connect with and support each other.
