New Additions to the Discount Outlet! States & Capitals Puzzle. Charles Dickens Classics (leatherbound), Darwin biography, City of Bones, Miss Peregrine's Library of Souls, a history of Robeson's Department Stores (once THE Department Store of Champaign), and much more. The puzzle is $4. All Outlet Books are $3 or less. DVDS and CDS are 50 cents each. We're open 10-3 Tuesday through Friday, and 10-2 Saturday. Located at 826 Pioneer in Champaign.

A sad day in American History. Read biographies, social sciences, political commentaries and all kinds of history. Especially read books that make you feel uncomfortable and stretch you.

The 105-years commemoration of the 1921 Tulsa Massacre begins May 31. The events of that day in Tulsa Oklahoma still reverberate throughout a community seeking justice.

Over the years, several people have done their mandatory community service hours at our bookstore. If you have someone in your life that needs to complete community service hours for their court sentence, fill out a volunteer application on our website and we will see if its a good fit. An interview is required and we cannot promise a set number of hours. However, it can be a very positive experience for the individual and for us. We will prayerfully consider each request.

If you're new to following us, welcome. Folks of all faith traditions and no faith are part of our bookstore community...and we like it that way. Everyone is valued and respected. And, we run a typical used bookstore with everything from Stephen King to Nora Roberts to Terry Pratchett to Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Magic Tree House. You'll find Buddhist meditations, the Book of Mormon, Atheist writings, and Bible commentaries on our shelves.

At the same time, our organization and mission are founded on following Christ, the Lamb of God. His Gospel of Love, Forgiveness, Truth, Justice and Radical Giving guides our work, our priorities and our decisions. Each Sunday we share a Scripture.

Writer's Room Breakfast at the former Lincoln Hotel this morning. My good friend Ruth and I met to enjoy this cozy and renovated spot. Avocado Toast with Marinated Cherry Tomatoes and Orange Juice. Delicious. 🙂

But, the real treat? Seeing how Hotel Royer has restored this book lover's gem. Imagine breakfast or lunch surrounded by library shelves and authors portraits. Highly recommend. ❤️
