Irene is the new District Executive covering the Many Trails District. Irene is a graduate of the University of Illinois. She is an accomplished Trombonist and has a heart for non profit work!

Troop and Pack 1310 sold popcorn outside of the Champaign Walmart this past weekend! They set a record for sales for their unit for selling $2000 in about 4 hours.

National Youth Leadership Training(NYLT) happened at Camp Drake this past weekend. Scouts spent this first weekend in the "Forming" and "Storming" phase of team development. The second weekend they will be "Norming" and "Performing".

Thanks the Scouts who attended, and our youth and adult staff who ensure this program is a the pinnacle of leadership training for our Scouts. By having well trained youth, we will be making our Troops stronger!

The Robeson Scout Shop was booming on Friday! Remember for all your Scouting needs our Scout Shop is open Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.

We love seeing so many new Scouts coming through the doors!

Popcorn has been sorted and given out to all units for Show and Sell! Thanks to all our volunteers today who made sorting and distributing popcorn easy! Thanks to Associated Transfer & Storage, Inc. for the warehouse space, it was perfect!

Good luck to our units on their first weekend of selling! Thanks for your support of our Council!

Earlier this afternoon, I received an email from our popcorn company letting us know our order wasn’t going to ship until Friday morning between 10AM and 12PM. That would put our plans out of sort to sort popcorn tomorrow and distribute it on Friday.

They are now working with a local shipping company that is delivering our order to see if there is a chance that it can be delivered tomorrow. If the date can be moved, I will send an email to everyone letting them know of the change. I am sorry as I know many of you have planned to be there tomorrow and if it isn’t moved, you have wasted your day. I should hear back tonight or early tomorrow if it can be changed.

If the date cannot be moved, nothing changes with timing, we have to all the product moved out of the warehouse by 4:30PM on Friday. There are no exceptions. If you know that you cannot make Friday by 4:30, please let Lovetta, Sharon, or Jared know ASAP.

The warehouse is Associated Transfer and Storage, located at 301 Wilbur Ave, Champaign, IL 61822. This is off Market Street in North Champaign behind the Salvation Army. Please reach out to the Scout Office with any questions.

Most all schools are back in session, and summer camp at Camp Drake has been finished for a little over a month. Drop your favorite picture from your camping experience this summer.

Schnucks has just let us know of the dates we have available for Show and Sale Opportunities. We are able to sell at the Champaign, Savoy, Mahomet, and Urbana Locations.

The dates are as follows:

Friday, September 18, 2026 - 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, September 19, 2026 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, September 20, 2026 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday, September 25, 2026 - 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, September 26, 2026 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, September 27, 2026 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

We have split the times up in to 2 and 4 hour blocks so that we give multiple opportunities for units to sign up.

Congratulations to Prairielands Council's newest Eagle Scout Eli D-C. Affectionately known as EDC by his Illini Lodge #55 members. Eli is a Scout in Troop 42 chartered to the Homer Masonic Lodge.

His Eagle Scout service project was building a Gaga ball pit for Heritage Elementary and Middle School. Eli is active in his troop and serves as the Vice Chief of Inductions for Illini Lodge. This past summer he participated in OA Trail Crew at Philmont Scout Ranch.

Eli, we look forward to your future endeavors and how you will make our nation stronger!
