Prairielands Council Scouting

Prairielands Council Scouting Prairielands Council is responsible for two districts, Prairie Fire and Many Trails. And we do it by having fun! The council is based in Champaign, Illinois.

Located in Champaign, IL, the council is made up of nine counties in East Central Illinois and Western Indiana Prairielands Council, BSA provides character development and value-based leadership training to youth in nine counties of east-central Illinois and west-central Indiana. We currently offer over 2,800 youth a program of responsible fun and adventure:

Training them in citizenship, service

, and leadership;
Instilling lifetime values;
Developing ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. It is our mission to serve our communities and families with a quality, values-based program.
