The Cadillac is hosting First Responders Appreciation night on March 7th. Proceeds from this free event will benefit Tunnels to Towers. There will be 50/50 raffles, silent auction items, and food trucks along with live music. Come out for a great time for a great cause!

Police said three first responders in Champaign were stabbed late Thursday night, sending all three to the hospital. Now, people are stepping up to help them and their families.

“Two Champaign Firefighters and an EMS provider were injured in the line of duty on Thursday evening September 4th, 2025. While they continue to receive the care and support they need, we want to take a moment to recognize their bravery and sacrifice.

Our first responders run toward danger when others run away—protecting lives, property, and our community every day. When one of our own is hurt, it reminds us of the risks they take so selflessly.

The Benevolent Fund exists to stand by our first responders and their families in these moments. We are committed to making sure they know they are not alone, and that their community is behind them.

We ask that you keep our injured firefighters, their families, and all members of the Champaign Fire Department in your thoughts.”
