📢 Join us at the Senior Resource Fair on Tuesday, July 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Granite City Senior Center!

Our team will be there at 11:15 a.m. to share information about the free civil legal services Land of Lincoln Legal Aid provides to eligible individuals, including assistance with issues such as housing, public benefits, family law, consumer protection, and more.

Stop by our table, ask questions, and connect with other organizations serving older adults throughout the Metro East. We look forward to seeing you there!

“Belonging is the missing link.” — Gaelin Elmore

Today, as part of our annual Board-Staff Luncheon, the Land of Lincoln Legal Aid team had the privilege of hearing from .elmore.

His message reminded us that compassion, connection, and creating a sense of belonging can make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn together, reflect on our mission, and continue strengthening our commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered legal services.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation and New Leaf Illinois for investing in second chances and access to justice.

This funding will help Land of Lincoln Legal Aid continue assisting eligible Illinoisans with clearing qualifying cannabis convictions and other eligible records, opening doors to employment, housing, and new opportunities.

The Illinois Equal Justice Foundation, through New Leaf Illinois, has awarded $1.48 million in State-funded grants to 15 nonprofit organizations to help Illinoisans clear eligible cannabis and other old records.

This funding helps more people move forward from past arrests & convictions, opening doors to jobs, housing, and a fresh start.

Land of Lincoln Legal Aid offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.

As we reflect on the promise of freedom and justice, we remain committed to helping people across central and southern Illinois understand their rights and access the legal help they need.

Our offices will reopen on Monday, July 6.
