Baltimore & Ohio GP30 No. 4119 leads a set of Chessie System-painted locomotives past the distinctive red-shingled building at Brunswick, Maryland, in 1990. Still wearing its traditional B&O blue scheme with the yellow sunburst nose logo, the weathered unit works the historic division point along CSX’s mainline west of Washington, D.C. During the early CSX years, Brunswick remained a key hub where vintage B&O and Chessie motive power regularly operated together long after corporate consolidations.

Tourists riding the Penn View Mountain Railroad near Blairsville, Indiana County. The Penn View Mountain Railroad was a Tourist Railroad that operated from 1964 to 1973. It was one of the first steam tourist railroads in the Eastern United States. Late in the 1950's, Sloan Cornell and his family members constructed a 4.5 mile right of way along the mountain ridges of his farm. He laid the rails for what would become his first of many tourist railroads. The little line climbed the mountain to a scenic overlook via a system of switchbacks. In the Summer of 1964, Sloan was in business when he purchased 2 ex-Duquesne Slag Company steam Locomotives. In 1973, the tracks of the Penn View Mountain Railroad went silent as Cornell trucked his equipment to a former Indiana branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He then started the Blairsville and Indiana Railroad.
