I know I’ve been pretty quiet on this page for a while. After last year’s Easter basket donation, a lot of life happened, I went back to work, got back into the swing of everyday routines, and focused on adjusting and taking care of the kids. Stepping back didn’t mean my love or intention changed, just that I was doing my best to balance life again 🤍
Last year, with the help of this amazing community, we were able to donate 235 Easter baskets to the children’s hospital in memory of RJ. It was incredibly meaningful, and we will always be grateful for the generosity and support shown.
We’ve been asked if we’re doing it again this year, and while our hearts would love to continue, we want to be transparent, a lot has changed since last year. Even with all the generous donations we received, we still spent a good bit of our own money filling in the gaps, and between finances and time, we’re not able to take that on alone this year.
Before making any decisions, we wanted to ask , is this something people would be interested in rallying behind again if it were a community effort? Donations, shopping help, assembly help, etc.
If you feel comfortable, please share this post as well, especially if you know of any churches, groups, or organizations that might be willing to help collect donations.
