National Disability Employment Awareness Month is a time to recognize the value, talent, and contributions that individuals with disabilities bring to our workforce and our communities every day.
In 2025, 22.8% of people with disabilities were employed, compared to 65.2% of people without disabilities, highlighting the significant barriers that still exist when it comes to employment opportunities.
At OSI, we're working every day to help close that gap.
Through our Value-Added Production services, individuals with disabilities gain meaningful paid work experience while helping local businesses meet their operational needs. From assembly and kitting to packaging, collating, labeling, printing, and more, our clients take pride in producing quality work while building valuable skills, confidence, and independence.
But our mission goes beyond what happens inside our facility.
We are actively seeking community partners who can provide:
✅ Paid work opportunities through outsourced projects and contract work
✅ Volunteer opportunities that allow our clients to contribute their talents and connect with the community
✅ Creative partnerships that help individuals with disabilities gain real-world experience and a sense of purpose
When you partner with OSI, you're not simply outsourcing a project or hosting a volunteer opportunity. You're creating opportunities for people to develop skills, build relationships, gain confidence, and make meaningful contributions to their community. The impact reaches far beyond the task itself.
