FRIENDS OF LEGAL SERVICES BOOK DRIVE DATES ANNOUNCED
The Franklin County Friends of Legal Services group has announced the Book Drop-Off Days for its Annual Book Sale. Books may be dropped off at the group’s book sorting space at the rear of the MobileWorks building, 2116 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg (next to the former location of Snavely’s Garden Corner) from 9:00AM to 1:00PM on Saturday, February 21 and Saturday, March 14.
The group accepts new and used books of all types in good condition, plus CDs (including audio books), DVDs, sheet music, puzzles, and board games, but not encyclopedias, textbooks, or phonograph records. Receipts for tax purposes will be available on request. All proceeds help provide legal services in civil cases to low-income families in our area.
After the two Book Drop-Off Days, books will be accepted for a two-week period at donation sites in local businesses, on dates and at locations to be announced.
The sale itself—the group’s 40th--will take place on Friday, May 8 through Sunday, May 10, at Laird Hall on the Wilson College campus in Chambersburg. “We invite all book lovers and bargain hunters to this wonderful community event,” said Sue DeVos, the group’s President.
