Cumberland Valley Sampler

Hello,

My name is Linwood (Woody) Payne, a recent (2020) retiree from CASD, Marion Elementary 4th grade. I am the producer of a long-running, family-friendly, musical-variety show called “Cumberland Valley Sampler,” a daughter organization of the Chambersburg Community Theatre, Inc. We are preparing for our 2022 show, “Salute to Fashion,” which will be held on Saturday, March 5.

We are looking for students of ALL ages, as well as adult males to participate as chorus members. (There are currently sufficient adult females registered.) "Salute to Fashion" is our 2022 show and is scheduled for presentation on Saturday, March 5. Rehearsal dates are still unconfirmed at this time, except for Thursday, March 3, at the Capitol.

Many changes have taken place since we last met. We've ridden out a storm in different boats with a myriad of outcomes. You may have served in the midst of the hurricane or maybe hunkered down in the trenches. But one thing for sure, our lives are not the same.

Therefore, this message-

At this time, I need to know of your interest in the Sampler. PLEASE select one of the following choices and reply to this email.

Now it is possible that you may have come in contact with others who may be interested in the show- especially pre-schoolers and children, as well as teens and adults. Please put them in contact with me .

If not enough people show interest, we will cancel plans for 2022 and possibly the future of the Sampler.

Fifteen years ago last month. The horse was for children to mount and have their pictures taken. I didn't have in mind "SENIOR" children. I did not know that my parents did this until I saw the pictures. CVS staff and crew keep secrets well. Remember the "fake ballerina?"

We've got another exciting holiday announcement...

We've got an "in" with the Big Guy & and his lovely wife, and they have agreed to spend a couple of hours THIS SUNDAY, Dec. 13th having one-on-one Zoom meetings with our youngest CCT friends!!

So, for a donation to CCT of $10, you can get 10-15 minutes alone with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Zoom to have a pre-Christmas chat.

Sign ups are available via the link below. Timeslots will be available between 11am-1pm, and 2pm-4pm. Once you sign up, you will be sent the Zoom Meeting link. Sign in during your chosen time, and attendees will be brought into the Zoom Room in the order in which they arrive in the waiting room.

He will be missed.
