Cumberland Valley Civil War Round Table MEETINGS: The Cumberland Valley Civil War Roundtable meets on the second Tuesday in September - May. We hold monthly meetings, September through May.

The Cumberland Valley Civil War Roundtable is a group of individuals with a common interest in all aspects of the American Civil War. We have speakers who share presentations on a variety of Civil War related topics.

boom, Crash, SHRIEK! The next meeting of the Cumberland Valley Civil War Round Table will Explode on Tuesday, October 13, at 7PM up on the second floor of The Franklin Fire Company, 158 W King St, Chambersburg PA 17201.

Stephen Evangelista will speak on the Gettysburg Gun. One piece one gun from Battery B First Rhode Island Light Artillery. The action it participated in during the the Battle of Gettysburg and it’s fascinating journey since 1863

At the Cumberland Valley Civil War Round Table our hearts are touched by fire to learn more of the Civil War, and to press on with the cause of Preserving Civil War Battlefields! Our Membership free is a steal: $25...What? You are kidding me!

Come hear Author Victor Vignola speak about the important Battle of Fair Oaks! The bloody tow-day affair (May 31-June 1 1862), fought at the doorstep of the Confederate capital, was the first major battle in the Eastern Theater since Bull Run. The possession of Richmond hung in the balance.

ARTILLERY OF ANTIETAM!

The Cumberland Valley Civil War Round Table joins with the Shippensburg Area Civil War Round Table, & the Hagerstown Civil War Round Table for the second part of the Artillery of Antietam Tour with Jim Rosebrock on Saturday, May 30, 2026. We will meet at the Antietam Visitors Center by 9:00 AM that morning.

All are welcome! Be prepare to share in the expense and with a tip for Jim Rosebrock.

Start planning now. Car-pooling is strongly encouraged, as we expect a large turnout, but some of the tour stops have very limited parking.
