5th Annual Keystone Carving & Vendor Event being held September 9-12, 2026, at 1345 Twin Bridge road at Twin Bridge Campground next to 1501 Criders Church Road Chambersburg Pa Keystone State Carving : Where Art, Community, and Remembrance Unite
Keystone State Carving is more than an organization; it's a heartfelt tribute to the past, a creative hub for the present, and a force for positive change
in the future. The inspiration for the Keystone State Carving event emerged from a profound desire to give back to veterans and first responders. John's journey to Ridgway, Pennsylvania, in 2017, where he attended one of the largest carving events, introduced him to the warm and welcoming carving community. It sparked a vision: to bring this unique event to Franklin County, Pennsylvania, not only as a creative celebration but also as a means to raise funds for local heroes. The groundwork began in August 2021, with relentless efforts to secure the grounds, engage sponsors, and share their heartfelt mission. However, their journey took an unexpected turn on February 6th, 2022, when tragedy struck, and their beloved daughter, Brittany, passed away at just 25 years old. In the face of unimaginable grief, they contemplated halting all event preparations. Yet, the outpouring of support from the carving family, sponsors, and their local community was overwhelming. It was this unwavering support that carried them through the darkest of times. It became clear that their daughter would have wanted them to continue, not only to support veterans and first responders but also to honor her memory. Keystone State Carving's annual event is not just a celebration of chainsaw artistry; it's a living tribute to Brittany and a testament to the strength of community, love, and resilience. Join Keystone State Carving in their journey to create art, forge connections, and keep Brittany's spirit alive in giving back to the community. Please email [email protected] any questions.
