The State Officer’s visit with Agtegra was an amazing experience in which they met with multiple regional agronomists and got an inside look into the world of agricultural retail while learning the importance of keeping the customer first.

Their tour included a visit to the chemical warehouse, where Agtegra utilizes state-of-the-art chemical measurement and testing systems.

The State Officers met with CB Seed Solutions LLC in Chamberlain and learned how sole owner and operator Cody Bevers started his own small business from the ground up, expanding his sales by nearly twenty times over the first three years.

Cody shared insight not only into agronomy, but also the importance of connections and leadership. CB Seed Solutions offers a service where they create a seeding plan that best fits both the needs of the producer and the environment. The team also toured the warehouse where products such as seed treatment equipment are located.

The visit the State Officer team had with Agri-Air, Inc. was incredible and unique. The team gained insight into the direct effects of aerial application of herbicides and pesticides.

As a family-owned business, Agri-Air also offered valuable insights on how to market yourself and build strong connections with those around you. This experience was once in a lifetime for the team, as there are fewer than a thousand aerial applicators in the U.S.

The State Officers took a tour of the shop at C & B Operations, LLC during their Business & Industry Visits. The tour included learning how they specifically uses new technology to make taking inventory of parts more efficient.

The C&B team stays busy year-round with everything from servicing machinery to selling various equipment. C&B sets themselves apart by taking an innovative approach to ensuring high schoolers and college graduates have the best resources available to successfully approach a career in the equipment industry.

Glaus Angus Ranch hosted the State Officer team for a tour of their operation. Over the course of the tour, the Glaus family touched on various aspects of production agriculture, such as targeted grazing plans and water sustainability.

The Glaus family displayed what it truly means to be a steward of the land through practices that will help conserve the plains for generations to come.

Congratulations to the Poultry Teams 8th Place finish. The team consisted of Eric Reuer, Cannon Thomas, Rope Reis and Colton Bairey. Cannon Thomas placed 11th and Eric Reuer placed 14th out of 111 individuals.

Congratulations to Chamberlain FFA’s Horse Evaluation Team on their 5th place state finish. The team consisted of Evelyn Bunker(not pictured), Oakleigh Reis-Elwood, Emberly Randal and Adessa Haugen. Evelyn Bunker placed 4th and Oakleigh Reis-Elwood placed 17th out of 141 individuals. Great work!
