Friday at the Spark, Action, Change Summit! ๐
Our 4-Hโers had the incredible opportunity to step inside the Louisiana State Capitol and learn firsthand how a bill becomes a law. They didnโt just hear about it โ they lived it. From drafting ideas to debating on the floor, they experienced the power and responsibility of civic engagement.
We then stepped back in time at the Old Louisiana State Capitol for a personal, interactive tour. Standing in a building filled with history while talking about leadership and change felt especially meaningful. Our members learned that their voices have a place in rooms where decisions are made.
Lastly, we did a campus tour of Louisiana State University! From visiting the Dairy Store and the College of Agriculture to seeing Mike the Tiger and touring Tiger Stadium โ including the locker room and standing on the football field โ our members got a glimpse of the opportunities that hard work and education can open for them.
Days like this are about more than tours and activities. Theyโre about planting seeds โ of confidence, leadership, service, and vision. I am so proud of how our 4-H members represented our parish with maturity, curiosity, and heart. The future is bright, and itโs sitting in our 4-H meetings every month. ๐๐
