Located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, nestled next to the Plumas National Forest, the historic town of Woodleaf had its start as a stagecoach and hotel stop during the California gold rush in the mid 1800s. You will find great service, fun activities, and excellent facilities here among the tall trees of Northern California at Young Life’s Woodleaf!

During the hustle of work week and preparing camp for the summer, one of our staff dug up a fun piece of history! A time capsule from 1987! We are always in awe of the history of this place and all the lives that have been here and will for the next 40 years🌲

Another round of our meet the staff… everyone say hi to Emerald!!! Emerald is one of our chefs here at Woodleaf and loves to serve good food😋 she’s from the bay area and has spent her last three summers with us. She loves to trail run and play instruments in her free time🌲🎶 and she loves to sit in her favorite spot in front of the dining hall watching camp happen (you should ask her about it!). Emerald’s favorite thing from the Gold Cup is a lavender coconut latte on the rocks🥥☕️ make sure to stop by the kitchen and say hi, she always has fun questions to ask!
