PJM’s official notice says a federal emergency order effective October 13–16 allows it to direct data centers and other large electricity users to switch to backup generators if necessary.

This raises an important question: How would a data center’s extended generator operation affect nearby homes through noise and exhaust, and what protections should be in place?

PJM says this alert requires no action from customers. The graphic highlights the generator provision; please read the full notice for context.

📣 New Britain Township residents—please join us tomorrow!

The Planning Commission meets Tuesday, October 13, at 7:00 p.m. to review the draft Data Center Ordinance.

The video below shows the October 5 supervisors’ discussion about potential regulations, including permitted locations, building height, noise, water, electricity, and approval requirements.

This video was shortened from the full meeting to show the ordinance discussion. Within this excerpt, the original audio and video remain unchanged, with no internal cuts.

Township officials stated during that meeting that the ordinance discussion did not mean there were imminent plans for a data center. The Walnut Street warehouse zoning proceedings are a separate matter.

This is an opportunity to learn about the draft, ask questions, and share thoughtful concerns about how future development could affect our community.

Everyone’s perspective is welcome. Let’s keep the conversation respectful and constructive, with a shared goal of protecting our community’s quality of life.

🚨 New Britain Township residents—please watch this FOX43 report.

HCI DP Land Acquisition LLC—the same developer behind the Walnut Street warehouse proposal and the height dispute with New Britain Township—withdrew its warehouse proposal in South Hanover Township and pursued data centers instead.

That change raises serious questions. Our local proposal is still for warehouses, but what happened in South Hanover is a reason to stay informed, ask clear questions about the intended use, and closely follow any changes.

Residents deserve transparency about what could be built near their homes and how it could affect our community.

Please watch, share, and stay involved in our township meetings.

New Britain Township residents—there is a connection worth knowing about.

HCI DP Land Acquisition LLC, the applicant identified in township records for the proposed warehouses at Walnut Street and County Line Road, is also the company named in this June 24, 2026 news article about a data center proposal in South Hanover Township, Dauphin County.

According to Data Center Dynamics, the South Hanover property was previously proposed for warehouses, and the developer subsequently proposed two data centers and an electrical substation.

This article does not establish that the Walnut Street proposal has changed to a data center. I’m sharing it because the same named applicant is involved, and I believe residents should stay informed, ask questions, and follow the public filings.

Founded in 1835, Forest Park was a well-known amusement park set on more than 140 beautiful acres in Chalfont. The park drew many visitors with its rides, a large swimming pool, string bands, and various events. On Memorial Day in 1958, a race riot occurred, resulting in significant damage and injuries to 20 people amidst a crowd of about 20,000 guests. This incident greatly harmed both the park and its reputation. After more than eighty years in operation, Forest Park closed for good in 1968.
