Praying Parents: What Comes Natural
What are the things that come natural to us... for most of us praying was probably not the most natural habit. As we start this new school year, I am always reminded of my mom praying for me every morning at the door before I would head out to the school bus. I'd like to tell you that I enjoyed it everyday but that would not be the truth. There were many days that I could see the bus coming but that never stopped her from praying for me. As I look back at my years at school, I know that I had a lot less problems because I had a mom that prayed for me consistently! I have the privilege of driving my girls to school most days. We have some amazing conversations and funny moments almost daily. But they never get out of the car before we have taken time to pray for their day. So it may not be the most natural thing to do... but the results are worth every second. I have many memories of my mom that I'm truly thankful for... but the one that I cherish now is the fact that she prayed for me everyday. Let prayer become a natural habit over your children... you'll both benefit from the time!
