Dear Friends and Supporters,
Since 2007, Chagrin Foundation for Arts and Culture (Chagrin Arts) has had the privilege of working alongside an extraordinary community of donors, businesses, artists, and advocates who believe in the power of the arts to inspire, challenge, and bring people together. Your generosity and support made the production of BLIND INJUSTICE possible at Playhouse Square this past July, and for that, we are deeply grateful.
After much reflection and with heavy hearts, we are sad to say that Chagrin Arts will be closing its doors. This decision was not made lightly. Over the past nineteen years, your partnership enabled us to produce meaningful work, foster creativity, and create space for important stories to be told. None of this would have been possible without your commitment and belief in our mission.
As part of this transition the Imaginal Cell sculpture by Dean Gillispie, currently in the Garden of Hope on N. Main Street in Chagrin Falls, has found a new home at the Cleveland State University College of Law and the Terry Gilbert Wrongful Conviction Clinic so its story and presence may continue!
While this chapter is coming to a close, the spirit of what we created together will live on in the artists we supported, the audiences we reached, and the memories we share. We are immensely proud of what we all have accomplished together and honored to have had your support along the way.
Thank you for standing with Chagrin Arts throughout the years. Your generosity made a lasting difference, and we will always be grateful whether you supported us through financial contributions, sponsorships, in-kind services, or collaborations, you played a vital role in shaping Chagrin Arts and the impact it has had on our community.
We are profoundly thankful for our board members and officers, President Club members, Advisory Board, volunteers and staff throughout these nineteen years. We would also like to extend our thanks and gratitude to our Executive Director, Karen Prasser for her commitment and passion to our mission the past 7 years. Karen is starting a separate, new organization ARTS for JUSTICE Cleveland and we wish her continued success in her new endeavor!
