Reminder: The Auxiliary Meeting will take place this Thursday, January 8th, at 7 pm. Please ensure you bring your volunteer hours and 2026 dues payment. Our goal is to reach 100% participation by February 28th.

Dues are $35.00.

Welcome to bring them up to the Legion hall and pin them on the board and send us a message here or pass them over to any active Auxiliary member you know and they will get them turned in.

Some fun times at Christmas on the Hill 2025 🎄🎅🏽 Thanks Everyone ❤️

2025 Christmas on the Hill Parade Line Up – Saturday, December 6, 2025 – Line up 5:45 pm

1. Piatt County Sheriff – Services provided by Piatt County Sheriff’s Office.
The first sheriff of Piatt County, John Piatt, took office in May, 1841, shortly after the county was formed.
2. American Legion Post 117 Color Guard
3. Grand Marshalls – Mark and Deb Blickensderfer
4. Royal Twirling Academy - Directed by Becky Seay. The girl's ages range from kindergarten thru 6th grade. The twirlers march in parades, perform at basketball games, and nursing homes.
5. Cerro Gordo Junior High Play – with Coach Ridgeway.
6. Fire Trucks and Santa - BIG THANKS to the Cerro Gordo Fire Department for escorting SANTA!

**Weather is looking good although COLD, but in case of bad weather the event/parade would be cancelled without a rain date.

***Its not too late if you want to line up, just please text me so I can get the MC the updated list, please: 217-423-2377. Text your name or group name and what you’d like the MC to announce.

***Dress warm, its going to be fun….its an EXCITING time especially for the kids.

1. Line up along Wait St in front of the Legion Hall heading toward Monroe St.
2. Turn LEFT onto Monroe St. heading toward South St. (Main)
3. Turn LEFT onto South St. heading toward Madison St. (Bank)
4. Turn LEFT onto Madison St. heading toward Wait St.
5. Turn LEFT onto Wait St.
6. Fall out back in front of the Legion Hall - Parade end

Let us help with dinner before you Trick-or-Treat!
Stop by the Legion on Halloween night from 4:30-6:00 (or until we run out) for a grab and go meal before you fill your treat bag.
