COFACC continues to strengthen international partnerships for IAABE 2026.
On June 17, COFACC President & CEO Gerry Palon and COFACC EVP & CMO Officer Ellen Samson paid a courtesy visit to the Consulate General of Sri Lanka on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.
They had the honor of meeting with Consul General Ms. Achini Perera and Minister (Commerce) / Trade Officer Ms. Rekha Mallikarachchi to further strengthen the growing relationship between COFACC and Sri Lanka in connection with Sri Lankaโ€™s active participation in the upcoming International Asian American Business Expo 2026.
IAABE 2026 will take place on August 7 & 8, 2026 at the Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach in Torrance, California. This two-day international business, trade, tourism, culture, and leadership event will bring together consulates, chambers of commerce, business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, government representatives, and community partners to promote cross-border collaboration, economic opportunity, cultural exchange, and global friendship.
We are grateful to Consul General Achini Perera and Minister Rekha Mallikarachchi for their warm welcome, partnership, and support as we continue building meaningful bridges between COFACC, Sri Lanka, and the broader international business community.

COFACC continues to build bridges across communities, cultures, and countries.
COFACC President & CEO Gerry Palon and COFACC Executive Vice President & CMO Ellen Samson paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Consulate General of Malaysia and had the honor of meeting with Consul General Wan Nurshima Wan Juson, Trade Commissioner Firdaus M., and Marketing Officer Brent Marletti.

We are pleased to share that the Consulate General of Malaysia has confirmed its participation in the International Asian American Business Expo (IAABE) 2026, happening on August 7 & 8, 2026 at the Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach in Torrance, California.

IAABE 2026 is a two-day international business, trade, culture, and leadership event designed to connect Asian American, international, and multicultural business communities. The Expo will bring together government officials, consular representatives, business leaders, chambers of commerce, entrepreneurs, investors, and community partners to promote trade, tourism, investment, cultural exchange, and long-term economic collaboration.

The Coalition of Filipino American Chambers of Commerce (COFACC) extends its sincerest condolences to the family, colleagues, friends, and loved ones of ๐Œ๐ข๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž ๐…๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐š ๐’. ๐’๐š๐ง๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ณ, Senior Trade Representative and Head of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center at the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles.

Michelleโ€™s untimely passing is a deep loss to the Philippine trade, business, and diplomatic community. Her work in advancing Philippine trade, investment, export development, and business relations left a meaningful impact on many entrepreneurs, organizations, and partners both in the Philippines and overseas.

On behalf of COFACC, we honor her dedication, professionalism, and quiet service to the Filipino business community. We join the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles, the Department of Trade and Industry, and the wider community in mourning her passing.
