Hi, even though we the Ceres Womans Club have been out of active service because of C-19 we are still helping our membership. Lacy needed a small walk-way to get to her street instead of going all the way around to her carport in order to sit outside using social-distancing and visit her neighbors in her mobile home park. She has to use a walker. Carmen,Treasurer and Belva, President of our club built her a small walk-way thru her rock-landscaping so she could get out easily and walk. A small duty can mean so much to someone and that is what we need now. Barbara

Hi, the Ceres Womans Club has cancelled all our activities due to the C-19 virus. We will be back up and running when this pandemic is over. Too all our followers please be safe and stay home. Barbara

Hi, I am sorry that our Club has had to suspend all our activities due to the C-19 virus. We, like all others Clubs will begin again when we can. I wish all our followers to stay in, stay safe and strong at the worst time any of us can remember. The Club had a "Nut Cracking Party". We bought a 100 lbs. of pecans. We crack them and extract the nut meats, sterilize them then package them to sell at events like District Meetings, the Ceres Senior Citizens Club Meetings, our Christmas Boutique and the street fair cookie booth. We also sell walnuts and almonds. This is another way to raise money for our Charities. It is also a way to visit each member and catch-up on what is going on in Members lives.

Ceres Womans Club not only supports women and children and families in need but our four-legged friends too! We donate to people who feed feral cat colonies too. These cats are captured, spayed and returned to their Colonies. It is the best we can do to help, they are to wild at this stage to be pets. I myself feed a feral cat, He won't let me touch him, I just feed him and he in turn keeps other cats out of my backyard and gets along with my 3 house cats when they venture out into the back yard sometimes. Those are not plates they are feed on but flour tortilla shells so there is no litter left, they eat the shells too!

The Club loves to attend the concerts in the park held in the spring at Whitmore park in Ceres. We wear t-shirts with the club name front and back for summer events and our official red vests for our meetings and events.

We participated in the Trunk-or-Treat event held in Ceres on Halloween. A lot of families wanted pictures of their kids with " The big bad wolf dressed in her granny sleep ware." We hand out candy for the kids. It is a great event!
