A Friendly Reminder from Your Curbside Furniture Museum 🛋️😂

We love our neighbors. We really do. ❤️

But leaving unwanted furniture, cabinets, mattresses, or other household junk at the curb with the hope that someone else will magically make it disappear is not exactly the neighborly thing to do.

It’s basically the curbside version of saying:

“I’m done with this. Good luck, everyone!” 😂

Our community shouldn’t have to become a free furniture showroom, dumping ground, or scavenger-hunt destination. If you no longer want something, please arrange for proper disposal, donation, or pickup.

If you put it there, please make sure you have a plan to take it away. 🙏

Let’s keep our common areas looking like a neighborhood we’re proud to live in—not the set of Hoarders: HOA Edition. 😆

Thanks for being considerate of your neighbors! ❤️

Due to today’s Air Quality Alert caused by smoke from the Canadian wildfires, the Woodgate Community Pool will be closed today, Friday, July 17, for the health and safety of our residents and staff.

We understand this is disappointing, but the decision was made out of an abundance of caution, especially for children, older adults, and anyone with asthma or other respiratory conditions.

We appreciate your understanding and will provide updates if conditions improve.

Thank you,
Woodgate Recreation Association

🎾 Pickleball & Tennis Courts Reopened

Good news — the pickleball court gate has been repaired, and the courts are once again open for use.

Unfortunately, we’ve received reports of individuals climbing the fence and accessing the courts after hours when the facility is closed. In the process, the gate and lock have been damaged. This is now the fourth repair, with each incident costing the Association approximately $400–$500 in community funds.

We want to help keep this amenity in good condition and avoid unnecessary repair costs for everyone.

If you happen to see individuals using the courts for anything other than tennis or pickleball, or accessing the facility after hours, please send us a message here so we can address the situation and contact the proper authorities if necessary.

Thank you for helping us protect and preserve our community amenities for everyone to enjoy.

🪰 Lanternfly Tip for the Neighborhood

If spotted lanternflies are driving you crazy too, these mesh tree traps have been working really well for us. We put a few up and have already caught quite a number (see photo).

They’re easy to install on trees where lanternflies gather and are inexpensive on Amazon. Every little bit helps with keeping the population down this season!

Anyone else found something that’s working well?

Community Reminder – Lawn & Landscape Maintenance

To help maintain the appearance and property values of the Woodgate Community, all residents are reminded that homeowners and tenants are responsible for maintaining the lawns and planting beds associated with their homes.

While the Association contracts for the maintenance of common areas—including mowing of common grounds, irrigation systems, fertilization, snow removal, and other landscaping services—residents are responsible for the following on their individual properties:

• Regular mowing and trimming of lawns
• Removal of w**ds and overgrowth in planting beds and landscaped areas
• General upkeep of flower beds and removal of debris
• Watering and care of landscaping, as needed
• Maintenance of fenced rear yards, including grass cutting and w**d control

Please take the time to keep your property neat and well maintained during the growing season.

Enforcement Process:
Properties that are not maintained may receive a courtesy warning notice. If corrective action is not taken within the required timeframe, the Association may arrange for landscaping service to mow or maintain the property, and the cost of the service may be charged back to the homeowner.

Thank you for helping keep Woodgate a clean, attractive, and welcoming community for all residents.
