25 Graves were discovered here on the church grounds. We have currently identified 18 names of family members laid to rest.

As we celebrate 235 years of our family's freedom from slavery, we remember their victories when times were not so great for other black americans in Virginia. Over the years, the church was left abandoned and fell into disrepair. Together with the newly appointed Trustees, the community and neighbors, the church was saved and new life was restored into the once-loved Historical Cub Run Primitive Baptist Church.

Our ancestors had many wishes and plans for this church; the Trustees and church members are working closely together to help make these dreams become a reality. Continue to pray and send your support to Cub Run Primitive Church Community as we move our historic church toward what our ancestors wanted it to be. We thank you for your support.

Stay tuned: Celebration coming, we have uncovered a great discovery in research on the history of the church.

We are happy to announce that the Geo Radar scanning has been completed at the church. 25 Graves were located and marked. This is a blessing for us to now know where our ancestors are actually buried. We may never know to which grave belongs to which ancestor but we are still blessed in knowing where they are resting and we pray that they continue to have peace.

The Trustee Board would like to thank all of those who donated their time, money, and materials to help us to renovate the Cub Run Primitive Baptist Church.
We are still working to add an addition, that will add water and bathrooms to the church, anyone who would like to donate work, materials, or money, please reach out to Trustee Doretha Spriggs- Treasurer
