What if one Saturday could make a lasting difference?

On Saturday, August 8, churches from across Cherokee County are coming together to be the hands and feet of Jesus through Serve Cherokee. And we want YOU to be part of it!

For years, our students have spent a Saturday serving our community through projects like yard work, small repairs, and serving meals. This year, we're dreaming bigger. We're inviting every generation—students, adults, families, life groups, and friends—to serve side by side and show our county the love of Christ in practical ways.

Here's what the day looks like:
🥞 8:00 AM – Meet at First Baptist Centre/ROC for a light breakfast, a brief time of spiritual encouragement, and team assignments.
🚐 Around 9:00 AM – Head out to serve across Cherokee County.
🍽️ 5:00 PM – Return to First Baptist Centre/ROC for dinner, celebration, and a powerful time of worship as we celebrate what God has done.

Serve opportunities include:
❤️ Terrapin Creek Outreach
🙏 Prayer tents
🤝 There's Hope
💜 Women's Advocacy Center
🌿 Yard work for homebound neighbors
🔨 Community projects..and more!

We'll talk through your interests and assign teams during breakfast, so don't worry about choosing ahead of time.

This isn't just another volunteer day.
It's an opportunity to step outside the church walls, meet real needs, build friendships, and be part of something bigger than yourself. You'll laugh, work hard, make memories, and most importantly, help people experience the love of Jesus in tangible ways.

The Church is at its best when it's serving. Will you join us?

Also CAR SEATS! Any unexpired car seats for our closet. A car seat without an expiration date is considered expired 7 years after the manufacturer date.

*There’s Hope does not resale any donation given. All of our services including our closet for mothers and babies are 100% free. These items assist us in allowing parents to work toward their parenting goals while we help cover the essentials.💛 We are an Alabama 501 c(3) Nonprofit, and you may request a donation receipt when donating any item to our center.
