Centralia Rotary Club is proud to welcome our newest member, Taylor Ragsdale!

Taylor is a Centralia High School graduate and serves our community as the Director of Social Services at Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Centralia. We are excited to have Taylor join Rotary and look forward to the leadership, service, and community involvement Taylor will bring to our club.

A big thank you to Coach Michael Rodgers for joining us to discuss his players and their record setting year!

Coach Rodgers has led Centralia High School baseball since 2015 and recently guided the Panthers to a historic 26-2 season, a district championship, and a state playoff appearance. He was also named the 2026 NEMO Pressbox Baseball Coach of the Year and selected as the Head Coach for Team Missouri in the Missouri vs. Illinois High School All-Star Baseball Game.

As a player he was a winner and as a coach, he and his staff are ready to take the Panthers deep into the payoffs this coming season!

We appreciate Coach Rodgers taking the time to mentor Centralia's young men!

Thank you, Coach Rodgers, for investing in the next generation and for representing Centralia with excellence.

Today, our club was joined by head coach Tyler Forsee and three of his returning players to talk about the upcoming season.

Here is a quick look at the Panther squad this year:
70 total players hitting the field.
17 seniors leading the charge.
Season 3 running their unique offense.

Coming off an excellent mark last year, these boys are ready to improve and take things to the next level.

One thing is absolutely certain: no matter where they play, they are bringing that legendary Centralia smash-mouth football with them! 💪

The action kicks off for their first game on Friday, August 28 at 7:00 PM as our Centralia Panthers travel to face off against the Mexico Bulldogs.

Best of luck this season, Panthers! We are rooting for you! 🎉

Coach Brinkmann and the Lady Basketball Panthers were our guests on Wednesday. We are so proud of this team and can't wait to see what they do next year. Best of luck to the seniors and thanks for the ride!

Rotarian, David Magnusson, hit it out of the park again for the club! He made this flag and two other Magnusson originals for Rotary to donate to the Centralia School Foundation dinner this Saturday night. Be sure to bid them up...its for the kids!

Today, we were fortunate to have representatives from Boy Scout Troop 90 join us. Our local troop, sponsored by Rotary, helps us with our football concessions.

For their efforts we presented them with a check for $3,000. The funds will go to help defray the costs of summer camps, merit badge university's, and the needed supplies.

Today we were joined by Boone County Presiding Commissioner, Kip Kendrick. He provided updates on the Sheriff's Office Training Center, Boone County Joint Communication Center, Jail and space needs, housing affordability and more. Today we were pleased to welcome Mike Alden. Mike served as the University of Missouri Director of Athletics from 1998 to 2015. His tenure as AD is second only to Don Faurot. Mike was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.
