Riff Raff's Street Rats, the premiere Rocky Horror shadowcast of the Pacific Northwest, returns to the Olympia Film Society to "Thrill you, Chill you, and Fulfill you!"

Join us as we celebrate the life and artistry of Tim Curry with new and old friends alike!

Riff Raff's Street Rats is an all-inclusive volunteer theater production that uses over half their performances to raise money for nonprofits across the NW.

☀️The perfect way to wrap up summer vacation, you won’t want to miss this free event celebrating Our George Washington! ☀️

“Join us for Founder’s Day as we celebrate Centralia’s history, honor our founder George Washington, and carry forward the spirit of generosity that helped shape our community.

This year’s celebration will center on the Founder’s Pantry Bag Project, inspired by the story of George Washington sharing essential food supplies with neighbors during a difficult time. Together, we hope to assemble and distribute 100 pantry bags filled with ingredients local families can use to prepare simple meals and treats at home.

Founder’s Day will take place on Monday, August 31, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. The celebration will feature guest speakers, a community art project, family-friendly activities, lunch, and birthday cupcakes while supplies last. Community members are invited to join us as we learn more about Centralia’s history, celebrate the people and stories that shaped our city, and give back to our neighbors.

Immediately following the program, at 2:30, the community is invited to gather at Washington Cemetery for a graveside memorial service honoring George Washington.

A $25 donation helps fill one complete Founder’s Pantry Bag. Additional event details will be announced soon.

Founder's Day is almost here, and we need a few helping hands to get our pantry bags packed and ready to share with our community!
