The St. Clare Foundation is one of 28 Felician-Sponsored Ministries across the United States - located right here in Centralia, IL!

This week, we honor our Felician roots by celebrating Mission & Heritage Week alongside Felician Services Inc, Felician Sisters of North America, and the 27 other Felician-Sponsored Ministries across the country.

We are committed to ‘widening our tent’ in our work in Southern Illinois, as we work to build a coalition dedicated to improving youth and adolescent behavioral health care and resources.

We also ‘widen our tent’ by honoring the Corporate Stands of the Felician Sisters, as outlined in the poster shared below. These stands speak to our Felician Core Values:

Reflecting on a fantastic few days last week attending the inaugural Southern Illinois Behavioral Health Summit… 🧠

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with behavioral health leaders from across the region, learn from one another, and strengthen collaboration for the communities we serve. We even got to share about the mission of the St. Clare Foundation with those in attendance!

The St. Clare Foundation believes meaningful change happens when communities come together, and we look forward to continuing to build partnerships that help ensure children, adolescents, and families have access to the behavioral health resources they need. 🌟

Monday, August 31st, marked International Overdose Awareness Day. In Centralia, we joined members of the community to stand for recovery, remembrance, awareness, and hope.

Thank you to the Community Resource Center and Take Action Coalition of Clinton County for putting on such a powerful event.

From three speakers sharing their impactful stories, to a memorial table honoring community members we have lost, to local organizations connecting individuals with critical resources — this event highlighted both the depth of the need in our community and the substantial work being done to address it.

It also served as a reminder of the work that remains to ensure individuals and families have the support and resources they need, and that no one has to face these challenges alone.

A few highlights from a fantastic Balloon Fest Weekend in Centralia! We had a wonderful time as a balloon sponsor for Hoppin’ Around, and we are already counting down the days until next year!

Sending a big thank you and congratulations to the Balloon Fest Steering Committee and the Centralia Chamber for all their hard work that went into such a successful weekend for our community. 👏

Happy Balloon Fest weekend, Centralia! We wanted to share this photo of the balloon we’re sponsoring this year, ‘Hoppin’ Around,’ flying over Jordan Elementary School - one of our inaugural grant awardees!

Grant funding awarded to CCS District 135 is dedicated to funding two mental health paraprofessionals at Jordan and Schiller Schools, which has officially commenced with the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year. ✏️📚

We are so grateful for the many opportunities to support our community, and we hope to see you all at Balloon Fest this weekend! Hoppin’ Around glows in the park on Saturday evening. 🎈⭐️🙌🏼

Yesterday marked the end of Child Abuse Prevention Month which dedicates the month of April to raising awareness, promoting prevention efforts, and strengthening families to ensure children grow up in safe, nurturing environments.

St. Clare Foundation was fortunate to participate in several great events in our community to support these advocacy efforts.

We had a great time connecting with other social service leaders, advocating for child abuse prevention, and most importantly spending some time with the youth in our community!
