And, did you know that the average cost nationwide for an Urgent Care visit is roughly $200? That means with our 10% coinsurance you would only owe $20 out of pocket for one visit!
But how do you know which one you should go to, Emergency Room or Urgent Care?
If you have these symptoms, go to the Emergency Room:
• Chest pain or pressure
• Difficulty breathing or severe shortness of breath
• Stroke symptoms (slurred speech, weakness or numbness on one side of the body, sudden vision change)
• Severe, uncontrolled bleeding
• Major trauma, head injury, or loss of consciousness
• Sudden, severe stomach/abdominal pain
• Seizures
• Broken bones with visible deformity, bone sticking out, or loss of circulation
If you have these symptoms, go to your regular doctor, if available, or to Urgent Care:
• Fever without a rash
• Cold, flu, or mild-to-moderate respiratory symptoms
• Sore throat, earaches, or sinus infections
• Sprains, strains, or minor broken bones (stable without severe deformity)
• Small cuts or burns that may require stitches
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs), painful urination, or frequent urination
• Vomiting or persistent diarrhea causing mild dehydration
• Mild or moderate allergic reactions or rashes
