Yesterday's Skills Day at Pope's Place was a huge success! 🎉
Our team came together to learn, refresh, and strengthen important skills that help us provide excellent care to our residents and their families.
Every Skills Day is an opportunity to continue growing both individually and as a team. We are proud of the great participation, teamwork, engagement, and attendance shown throughout the day.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success. By continuing to learn and refresh our skills, we ensure we are always providing the highest quality care and support to those we serve. 💙

We are so proud to see our Executive Director, Angela Dickson, recognized by United Way of Lewis County!

Angela is the kind of leader who turns vision into action. So many of the accomplishments, programs, and improvements at Pope's Place started as ideas and dreams, and through her dedication, determination, and passion for serving others, they have become reality.

Her unwavering commitment to the children, families, and staff at Pope's Place continues to inspire all of us every day. We are incredibly grateful for her leadership, compassion, and belief in what is possible.

Congratulations, Angela, on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you for all you do for Pope's Place and our community. 💙

🌟 Board Spotlight: Angela Dickson

Meet Angela Dickson, a member of the United Way of Lewis County Board of Directors since 2023 and a longtime champion for healthier, stronger communities.

Angela brings more than three decades of experience in healthcare, from her early days as a volunteer EMT and critical care nurse to leadership roles focused on quality improvement, infection prevention, health equity and systems change.

Today, Angela serves as Executive Director of Pope’s Place in Centralia, where she leads an organization dedicated to providing compassionate, family-centered care for the “precious 1%” of children and young adults with complex medical needs.

Angela joined the United Way board because she believes deeply in our commitment to serving neighbors in need and helping families move out of poverty.

When she’s not working or giving back to her community, Angela enjoys riding her Harley-Davidson, practicing yoga, spending time with her husband and two adult children—and, of course, her goldendoodles. 🐾

We’re grateful for Angela’s leadership, experience and heart for Lewis County. Thank you, Angela, for being part of United Way!

As the seasons begin to change, we're reminded of the warmth, hope, and support that surrounds our children every day.

This fall, we are especially grateful for our dedicated staff, generous supporters, and amazing community who help make a difference in the lives of children with complex medical needs.

Animal Therapy sessions resumed today! Our residents and staff enjoyed a wonderful visit from Boomerang the wallaby and Pesto the rooster, their presence brought comfort, joy and lots of smiles. We are grateful for these special moments that create meaningful experiences for our Pope’s Place community.

As students head back to school today, we're smiling about the wonderful memories we made ending summer with a magical Toy Story 5 movie night under the stars. 🌙🍿

Residents, parents, and staff gathered together for an evening full of fun and movie magic. It was the perfect grand finale to an amazing August!
