Dennis W. Zilinski II Memorial Foundation Lt. Zilinski was killed in action in Bayji, Iraq on November 19, 2005. His legacy lives on.

His life of service was short, 23 years because he believed that ultimately the fighting in Iraq was protecting his fellow citizens in this great nation of ours. Our Memorial Foundation sponsors five events during the year and will continue to solicit local businesses and citizens in order to raise resources needed for scholarships and support of wounded military personnel, as well as supporting our troops serving overseas. Our organization remains a 100% volunteer organization with no paid salaries. All funds earned are used to fulfill our mission to "provide support to improve the morale and welfare of the members of the United States Armed Forces and their families". Contributions have been made to various 501(c)(3) organizations that furnish prosthetics, clothing and handicap construction to wounded soldiers upon their return home.

What an amazing crowd at Give Back Night at the Westlake Golf and Country Club Community in Jackson! We are so grateful for the many donations of non-perishable foods, hygiene items, and more. This year, the collection will go to both our deployed troops overseas and to stock the food pantries at McGuire, Lakehurst Joint Base, Fort Dix! We can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity!

Today starts the 18th Annual NJ Run for the Fallen starting in Cape May and making its way to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Holmdel🇺🇸 It runs five days, September 23-27, to honor our brave men and women from NJ who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We ask you to join us on Sunday at 3:30 pm at the hero marker dedicated to honor our Dennis at his alma mater at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft.

What is a Hero Marker?

Each mile of the Run is dedicated to one of our NJ Fallen and the endpoint of that mile is marked by a distinctive Hero Marker which is placed in a prominent position and a presentation is made for the friends and family who have gathered for that hero. These are some pictures from prior years. We hope you can join us!
