Congratulations, Susan Rose!

Last week SOREC’s Master Food Preserver program (MFP) held a tabling event at the Jackson County Fair. Community members who visited their table got information about the program and upcoming classes and entered a raffle for some awesome prizes. Prizes included SOREC themed swag, two complimentary MFP classes, and a beautiful hand carved cutting board made by MFP volunteer Joe Alvord. The lucky winner was Susan Rose. Congratulations Susan!

Thank you, Joe Alvord, for your generous donation. We appreciate your time, work and artistry – the board is stunning!

Our Pressure Canning class scheduled for July 12th has been canceled due to storm damage and road closures. As much as we hate to cancel a class, we can't compete with Mother Nature. The good news is that we have rescheduled the class for August 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thank you for your understanding.
