Millions of children started home libraries because of Dolly Parton’s commitment to early literacy.

For more than three decades, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has mailed books directly to young children around the world — creating more opportunities for reading, connection, and learning.

Today, we remember and honor Dolly for a lifetime of advocacy and for the generations of young readers her vision will continue to inspire. In her words, “You can never get enough books into the hands of enough children.” We couldn't agree more. 📚❤️‍🩹

Table Rock Foundation presented a donation last week to Jerry Pendzick from Urban Rest Stop, a part of St Vincent de Paul for supplies for their service to our community.

In 2025, at Urban Rest Stop over 2,683 showers were enjoyed, along with nearly 2,166 loads of laundry.

The gift of reading!
Table Rock Kiwanis Club’s community service program “Jerry’s Books for Kids” will be at the Central Point Library on December 5th after the Christmas Parade giving away children’s books!

As Oregon students and families prepare for a new school year, we're remembering Dolly Parton and the remarkable legacy she leaves behind.

Dolly was a champion of literacy, and through her Imagination Library, thousands of Oregon children can receive a free book every month from birth to age five. Her support helps children develop a love of reading long before their first day of school.

Thank you, Dolly, for the lasting impact you've had on generations of young readers.
