Congratulations to the Nebraska Christian Schools’ students who were selected to attend Cornhusker Boys’ and Girls’ State! During the week, several of these students were entrusted with leadership roles. Hadassah Rankin was elected Governor for Girls’ State, and Luke Powell served on the Gettysburg State Board, and Hunter Hackel was elected to the Legislature at Boys’ State.

Boys’ and Girls’ State are leadership and citizenship programs designed to cultivate a deeper understanding of the American system of government. Through hands-on experiences, delegates study local, county, and state government while establishing and operating their own miniature governments according to the laws and procedures of Nebraska. These invaluable opportunities equip students for future service and leadership. A special thank you to the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary for sponsoring Nebraska Christian’s delegates!

How do you even begin to capture all that God has done at Nebraska Christian Schools this year? The deep friendships that formed in hallways and classrooms. The daily rhythm of meaningful teaching and learning. The counter-cultural call to Mark 10:45 service lived out in real and tangible ways. And above all, the unmistakable movement of God in the hearts and minds of our students and staff.

No video can fully tell the story, but this glimpse reflects the heartbeat of our school community.

We are deeply grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness. Our prayer is that this next generation of Christ-followers will be fully equipped, deeply rooted in Truth, and courageously engaged in Kingdom work around the world.

If you are looking to learn more about or invest in a mission with eternal impact, we invite you to consider Nebraska Christian Schools.

The 2026 State Track & Field Championships brought unpredictable weather, but Nebraska Christian’s athletes responded with perseverance and composure. The Eagles delivered a strong performance on the state stage, breaking three school records and bringing home six medals.

Jacob Swanson led the way with an outstanding performance, placing third in the 3200-meter run with a new school-record time of 9:37.32. He also earned third place in the 1600-meter run, breaking another school record with a time of 4:25.32.

The girls’ 4x800 relay team of Emma Rathjen, Grace Nokelby, Ava Brumbaugh, and McKinley Mankin narrowly missed a school record while earning fifth place in 9:54.69.
McKinley Mankin also placed sixth in the 800-meter run with a school-record time of 2:20.02 and later finished 14th in the 1600-meter run at 5:39.02. Emma Rathjen unfortunately, was unable to finish her individual race because of a calf injury.

Additional performances included Everett Hunnicutt placing 23rd in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:47.50, Grace Nokelby placing 22nd in the 3200-meter run in 12:57.27, and Piper Norris placing 22nd in the shot put with a throw of 30’5.5”. Nebraska Christian Classical Academy is seeking a part-time Middle Level (6th–8th grade) Math teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Teaching certification is not required.

We are looking for someone with a passion for mathematics, a heart for students, and a desire to place Christ at the center of both what and how they teach. At Nebraska Christian Classical Academy, our mission is to equip students to stand firmly on Truth, and Christian educators play a vital role in helping families pursue that mission.

Our part-time teachers teach on Mondays and Wednesdays while partnering with families to support learning at home during the remainder of the week. This collaborative teacher-parent model provides meaningful flexibility while allowing parents to remain deeply involved in the education and discipleship of their children.

If you desire to make an eternal impact through Christian education and believe this could be a place where you would thrive, we invite you to apply at nebraskachristian.org/employment or send your resume to [email protected]. Questions? Call us at 308-946-3836.
