Day 9 Recap ❤️

Beautiful day at Angels Truck Stop! The team got the full tour of the entire project and it was absolutely amazing to see how much has been done.

Of course, we had one crazy person decide to jump into the unfinished pool because apparently seeing an actual pool in the middle of the bush was just too much to handle😂

We planted some trees, chased down a few pigs, laughed a lot, and soaked in another awesome day together. Never a dull moment with this crew! 🙌

Day 8 Recap ❤️

Well… we started the morning by finding a monkey tied to a pole at the orphanage🙂 Apparently the kids caught it in the garden and decided, “why not keep it as a pet?” Never a dull moment around here!

Shortly after, all the emotions hit. We had to say our final goodbyes to the kids and it was a hard one…So many hugs, tears, and emotions all at once. Definitely a sad, sad day.

From there, we left South Sudan and hit the road back to Uganda to visit the ATS truck stop.

We ended the night on a much happier note with a surprise birthday party for Sam’s wife, Justine - great food, lots of dancing, and plenty of laughs.

Day 2 ❤️

Long drive up north but every mile was worth it. We made our way to Gulu and had an AMAZING time with the kids there. We played, we laughed and honestly we didn’t want the day to end… We stayed until late because we just wanted to soak up every minute we could with the kiddos.

Grateful for another beautiful day of this mission and excited for what’s still ahead! 🙏
