Our 5/6 Black and White teams battled it out in the championship, with Black bringing home the hardware! Both teams showed what they’re made of and pushed each other every step of the way.

Parents,

Please make sure your player has all uniform items, equipment, mouthguards, and water bottles before arriving.

Tournament Schedule & Check-In

Please download the Exposure Events app if you haven't already. As of now, our tournament game times remain unchanged.

- B Team: First game at 12:00 PM. Please have players report to Coaches Nick and Kevin, fully dressed and ready to play, by 11:30 AM.
- A Team: First game at 1:00 PM. Please have players report to Coach Jim, fully dressed and ready to play, by 12:30 PM.

Important Reminder for Parents & Fans

Please allow the referees and coaches to handle any on-field disagreements or altercations. We need everyone to remain calm, show good sportsmanship, and set a positive example for our players.

Tournament rules are clear: if parents or fans interfere with the game or enter the field of play, the game may be ended, and those involved may be removed from the tournament.

Let's represent the Running Elks the right way, support our boys, and keep the focus where it belongs—on the players and their teammates.

We anticipate two teams. An "A" and a "B" team. Here is the list of our commitments. Please review this list and update availability on TeamSnap ASAP. If your player is available to be a sub please list them as a "maybe" under availability. We can only roster 11 players per team. Unfortunately, injuries and unforseen circumstances arise. Players not listed are encouraged to come support their team.

Our Fall Running Elks are underway! 🦌

It’s great seeing so many of our players out here putting in the time and effort during the off-season. Many of our players are multi-sport athletes who are currently playing football, soccer, or XC and we love seeing them compete in other sports while continuing to build themselves as athletes.

Lacrosse is a great way to stay in shape physically and mentally, and these fall sessions are all about putting in the work, building endurance, and getting better together.

Excited to be back next season coaching our 5/6 boys! 🥍

As part of our player development plan, we’ll be implementing a wall ball standard: players must pass their wall ball test before moving into a d-pole, goalie, or face-off role, regardless, if your player played with one last season. They'll have to earn it back. These positions require some of our best stick handlers.

Our goal is to build confident, fundamentally sound players who are prepared for the next level. The wall ball test helps coaches evaluate stick skills, confidence, positioning, and where each player can best contribute.

I challenge every family to spend time each week practicing the basics. I’ve seen 3rd graders pass the 5/6 test and 5th/6th graders struggle with the 3/4 test. Consistent scooping, passing, and catching is the foundation for success.

Players will earn opportunities through effort and development, and coaches will place each player where they can continue to grow while helping the team succeed.

Thanks to everyone who came out for open field today. We appreciate your commitment and the extra work you're putting in.

We will not have open field on Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Our next open field will be Saturday, July 11, from 9:30–10:30 a.m.

Happy Father's Day, LAX dads! Hope everyone is enjoying the summer.

FYI: I'll be hosting an open field at Magsig this Saturday from 9:30–10:30 AM for players entering 3rd–6th grade.

For our 5/6 team, the focus will be on individual stick skills. Players entering 5th grade should be able to pass the 3/4 wall ball test with their short sticks.

We'll be working on wall ball, stick skills, and athletic movement. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!🥍
