Bernard Community Center, Inc Bernard Community Center, Inc. a non-profit organization (formerly O. H. Bernard School K-12).

Bernard School was a vital part of the black community and a rich part of the heritage of Hickman County. The building was one of nearly 5,000 schools that Julius Rosenwald, the president of Sears, Roebuck and Co. built in the early 1900's to educate African American children in the south and southwest. After integration, some of the buildings were abandoned, some sold and then left to decay or we

re demolished. Many basketball games were played in what used to house a beautiful gym. We, the Bernard Community Center, Inc, now the opportunity to bring the entire building back to its original glory.

Beginning Saturday, June 20, we will have a Summer Education Series here at the shop on the square at 9 am - Noon.
A Healthy lunch will be served for fellowship time after class.

We have many people in our community and in neighboring communities that want to learn and help their family and friends with natural healing.

Each class is $20, or you can buy a ticket to the series for $100. (This saves you $20 when you buy in advance)

Reminders will be sent out as we get closer to the kick-off. This is great for anyone who wants to learn to get well at the root level.
