Cops Cruisin' For Cancer

Cops Cruisin' For Cancer Cops Cruisin' For Cancer is a not for profit organization operated by a central Indiana police offic You should check her out. Your never forgotten brother.

HISTORY:
Cops Cruisin' For Cancer (CCFC) was originally developed after hearing and researching Abby Miller. Abby Miller's passion for helping others began at age 10 and has truly inspired me. Abby has helped raise more than $400,000 for childhood cancer research. CCFC was formerly founded on Dec 13th, 2012 when Sonny Miller passed away from lung cancer. Sonny was a friend and a brother in Law Enf

orcement. Sonny and I attended the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy together. Throughout those 15 weeks, and several week thereafter, Sonny fought a lung infection and succeeded in becoming a loved member of the Martinsville IN Police Department. Sonny's cancer went undiagnosed, and therefore improperly treated. Once diagnosed, we had high hopes, but Sonny had little chance. Sonny fought like hell, but was called home on Dec 13, 2012. Sonny left behind a loving family and supportive community. HOW WE WORK:
CCFC partners with local Law Enforcement agencies to utilize vehicles used in everyday operations. CCFC then reaches out to the businesses in that community to raise money for cancer research. Those who are able, sponsor a vehicle or group of vehicles being used by the local Law Enforcement agency. Donations are made per mile driven by those vehicles. Depending on the agency and number of vehicles, companies may be able to sponsor multiple units, divisions, or an entire shift. None of the money raised goes to the Police Department.
