Friday July 16 and Saturday July 17th - come to C.L. Fornari's garden and see a range of annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees and yes, Hydrangeas! It's a benefit for the BEF. $5. per person - the garden will be open from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The Barnstable Education Foundation sincerely thanks the Cape community and those who traveled from all parts of New England for their wonderful support of the two gardens we hosted during the 2020 Cape's HydrangeaFest. We were thrilled with the enthusiastic response to Helen McVeigh's and C.L. Fornari's beautiful gardens. During the four days the gardens were open, we had over 850 visitors stroll through these unique properties! We are grateful to the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring this annual event that helps Cape non-profits, like the BEF, to raise funds. Thank you!

C.L. Fornari's colorful and diverse garden is open today from 10-4 and all money collected supports BEF's teacher grant program. We appreciate your support. A BIG thank you to all our visitors from on and off Cape who supported the BEF and toured Helen's garden at 8 Village Lane in Yarmouthport on July 12 and 14. The turnout was fantastic! You exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much for helping make this fundraiser for us and all the other non-profits a huge success during the first full week of Cape Cod's HydrangeaFest. We hope you will continue to tour more gardens this week. Our BEF garden will be open this Friday, July 17 and Sunday, July 19 from 10-4.

Please support the Barnstable Education Foundation (BEF) and the 2020 Cape Cod HydrangeaFest by visiting a very special garden we are privileged to host this Friday, July 17 and on Sunday, July 19. C.L. and Dan Fornari's Poison Ivy Acres at 2 Lawrence Pond Lane in Sandwich will be open for touring from 10-4 each day. You'll see such a diversity of perennial plantings and annual blooms, labeled hydrangeas, vegetables and fruit, and hardscapes. We think you'll go home with some great ideas for landscaping, perhaps a few names of plants that you didn't know before, and the good feeling of getting outside and enjoying the beauty of the Cape. All money collected supports our teacher grant program. Thank you!

The Barnstable Education Foundation is very pleased to be hosting C.L. Fornari’s gardens next Friday and Sunday as part of the Cape’s HydrangeaFest Tour.
Here is how C.L. describes what you’ll be seeing if you visit her gardens: “My gardens in Sandwich have a country vibe...if you come during the Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival you'll see dozens of hydrangeas, large perennial borders, a fragrance garden, the grape arbor where the houseplants go for summer camp, my "Annual Alley," and the test and cutting gardens. My garden is open on Friday the 17th and Sunday the 19th from 10 to 4.”
The BEF encourages you all to mark your calendars and come visit C.L.’s beautiful and expansive property. You’ll learn a lot and see a wide range of plant species in bloom.
