Eagles #2675 is officially closed and the charter will be turned over to the Grand FOE tomorrow. As a final statement-the Iowa Civil Rights Commission and the EEOC dismissed the complaint. It was then an attorney was hired. Yea it was about the money 💰. Thank you for your patronage Centerville.

CENTERVILLE — The Centerville Eagles Aerie will close this weekend, after they were found in default for a civil rights lawsuit brought by a former employee and ordered to pay

It is with great sadness that we announce we will permanently close at end of business Saturday March 29, 2025. Due to a frivilous lawsuit we are financially unable to continue. I am sure most of you in the county have attended a funeral, birthday, High School graduation, wedding, shower, Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Dinner or benefit with us. The Eagles has worked hard over the last almost 8 decades to be of service to our community and we the people of the Eagles will continue to do so, it will just look and feel a little different. We are certainly going to miss the delicious meals from our kitchen and the warm summer nights on the deck. Our building may be old but she has sure served us well. Occasionally when driving by give her a wave or a honk to thank her for all she has done for us throughout the years.
