" Free" Richmond Community Orchestra "Free"
July 12, Maplewood Park 7:00 P.M.

Richmond Community Orchestra will be playing a patriotic concert, along with the Eaton Community Choir.

The Richmond Community Orchestra is celebrating its sixth year of operation. Born in the Pit of the Richmond Civic Theater.

The RCO is currently composed of some 60 musicians ranging from teenagers to seniors from all walks of life.

The RCO is fortunate to be directed by Mr. Jay Conrad, a former band and choir director for the Eaton High School.

July 14-18th open 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.

The Embroidery Guild of America Richmond Rose Chapter
Featuring - Classic needle work, Count Stitch, Needle Point, Stump Work, Crewel Work, Bead Work, Quilting and many other techniques.

There will be several hand made quilts, and also coverlettes from the 1800's

Members will be demonstrating their skills and sharing information.

Bicentennial Children's Day

This is a FREE event for families will take place in downtown Centerville. Start at the public Library to pick up your guide and see a live "Wax Museum of Famous Hoosiers". Then, visit the Family Center to get your picture taken in an old fashion costume. Join us at the park for more fun and games. After that, visit the Mansion House to learn about and create old fashion crafts from 1800's. Stop by the courthouse to meet Dr. Sackett and Participate in games from the 1800's. Finish your day at the courthouse lawn for food, stories, and songs.

Free Walking Tour! Begin at the Mansion House and stroll west on Main Street. Volunteer guides in costume will be waiting for you along the route to tell you stories about Centerville people, history, and architecture. Guides will tell about the courthouse battle, the original county government square, early uses of the newly restored 1837 American House, famous residents of the 1820s and 1830s homes, and more.

Optional tour inside historic homes - tickets $12.00 per person if purchased before the event, tickets $15.00 if purchased the day of the event. Those who have purchased a ticket may enter six historic homes. Tickets may be purchased at Centerville Library or the Bicentennial Reception Center.
