Tammy Steinbecker Memorial Foundation

Tammy Steinbecker Memorial Foundation The Tammy Steinbecker Memorial Foundation is a 501c3 founded to honor the legacy of Tammy Steinbecke Tammy Steinbecker, a mother and friend. Steinbecker (Son).

A woman who cared deeply for all those close to her. Her story is one that gives meaning to words like courage, grace, and life. Born in Dallas, TX, she loved everything the south had to offer and was a proud Texan. She worked as a Jail Sergeant for the Houston County Sheriff's Office. She took pride in her job and cared for all those she served along with. When not at work gardening, movies, musi

c, antiques, cooking, baking, and being with her two dogs were all things she loved. Above everything however her family came first. She had two children Samantha L. Steinbecker (Daughter) and John L. She also had two step-sons Gary & Dewey Steinbecker. She led by example. She showed her family and those around her what strength and courage could accomplish. Ms. Steinbecker's life was cut short after a courageous battle with cancer. In honor of Ms. Tammy Steinbecker, this foundation was created to raise money to support members of the community in their fight against all types of cancer. Steinbecker was diagnosed with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer on August 3, 2016. Within days she began waging her war against this disease. While progress seemed promising, she passed away on October 3, 2016. While this was a short battle, it was a courageous battle. Fought with grit, determination, grace, and dignity. While she is not here in person, her spirit, love of life and family remain. This foundation will solidify her legacy as love for others, family, community, courage, and strength.
