Excited about what could come next. We recently completed an initial meeting with young people inside Manson Youth Institution in Connecticut, to explore bringing our Schools 4 Change program into the facility — using sport to build leadership, social skills, accountability and positive relationships.
As part of the initiative, participants will also work together to develop a youth-driven civic action project focused on literacy inside the facility.
The goal is to create meaningful opportunities for young people to learn, lead and give back, while developing the skills and confidence needed to successfully return to their communities and reduce the likelihood of reoffending.
Excited to continue building this partnership and hopefully launch the initiative in the coming months…
