We are deeply grateful for this community and the continued love and support you’ve shown to Bennett’s Blessings. What began as a step of faith in the midst of unimaginable loss has grown into something far beyond what we could have ever imagined—and that is only possible because of God’s grace and people like you.
It is truly an honor to partner with Camp Meribah and help make it possible for children to experience the joy, growth, and truth found there. Seeing these scholarships increase each year is both humbling and incredibly meaningful to our family.
Thank you for remembering Bennett, for sharing in his legacy, and for allowing his story to continue impacting so many lives. We don’t take this partnership or your support lightly. Every child who attends Camp Meribah summer camp is a reminder that God is still working, still providing, and still bringing beauty from brokenness.
We are incredibly thankful for Bennett’s Blessings and for the heart behind this special ministry.
Bennett’s Blessings was founded by Bennett’s parents, Tyler and Rebecca Schmid, who felt a seed planted in their hearts to bring purpose from their grief. On June 8, 2022, Bennett passed away suddenly from Invasive Group A Streptococcus Infection (iGAS). In his honor, Bennett’s Blessings was created to serve others and bring glory to God.
For the past three years, they have partnered with Camp Meribah to provide camp scholarships for children who otherwise may not be able to attend. This year, their generosity has provided 20 camp scholarships.
What makes this even more meaningful is that Bennett passed away just days before he would have been a Day Camper for the very first time. We remember him each year around this time, and we are continually moved by the way his life is still making an impact through the kindness and generosity of his family.
We are truly blown away that the number of scholarships continues to increase each year. What a blessing this family has been to Camp Meribah and to so many children.
