We recently opened a boarding facility SHEC Equine Boarding Center on FB. stall and pasture. It all started when my old mare was emaciated by a overfilled boarding facility. We decided then that we had to make a difference, how ever small it may be. So we moved onto 30 acres and opened our land and heart for abused, emaciated and specially the senior horses. Our place is their sanctuary. Seniors s
tay for the rest of their life and still have a positive purpose which keeps them healthy for years to come. All proceeds are only and alone to feed the horses. We do not want the money but we want the feed, hay . We are dipping deep into our own pockets to meet all the needs of these loving creatures. We do appreciate donations. She has no molars left and we have to feed her a enormous amount of soaked bran, sweet feed, alfalfa pellets, mushed carrots and weight gainer in order to keep her weight as stable as can be. Every horse on our premises is very well taken care of and gets it's needs met because to us they are family and deserving after a life of serving the human.
