Join us tonight at 7pm in the large meeting room at Harborfields Public Library. Dr. Rory Manning, Superintendent of Harborfields Central School District will be speaking g about the upcoming budget. After Dr. Manning, Abraham Oonnoonny will speak about Mitochondrial disease. The 3rd speaker is Paul DiPaola. Paul will speak about Blue Energy.

Another incredible turnout for our Mill Pond Cleanup!

With nearly 60 volunteers, we collected more garbage than ever before—making a real impact on the health of our pond and surrounding environment.

A big thank you to the Harborfields High School Environmental Club, LOLMS Montessori, Boy Scouts Troop 32, Cub Scouts Pack 2255, and our local leaders including John McCarron, Theresa Mari, Jen Hebert, and Sue Broderick from Keith Brown’s office for showing up and supporting the effort.

Last week, the Centerport Harbor Civic Association was pleased to welcome Jennifer Milito, Prosecutor and Assistant District Attorney with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, as our guest speaker at our general meeting. Jennifer gave an eye-opening presentation on elder crime, highlighting the many scams targeting seniors today, including the grandparent scam, romance scams, and other forms of financial exploitation. We’re grateful to her for sharing such important information and helping raise awareness in our community.

The CHCA is pleased to announce the results of our recent Executive Board elections, alongside a successful amendment to our By-laws. We invite all members to join our upcoming events, including the Holiday Party on December 2nd, the Bald Eagles statue unveiling on December 6th, and a musical performance by the Silver Chorus Chords on December 14th. Don't forget to pay your dues to continue supporting our community initiatives.
