Meet Taylor. Taylor serves as a LifeWise Board member, classroom volunteer, and back-up teacher. Taylor grew up in Westerville and moved to Centerburg in 2021 with her husband Trent, who grew up here. They have 2 boys, Logan (7) and Dylan (5), who have gotten to experience our LifeWise program this year. Taylor has been a pediatric nurse at Nationwide Children's Hospital for 11 years and absolutely loves her job! She enjoys reading, music, games, puzzles, and cooking.
Taylor's favorite part of LifeWise has been getting to know the students on a personal level and having the opportunity to show them that, no matter what is going on in their lives, Jesus will always be there for them ♥

Say hello to Karen! Karen has lived in the Centerburg area for over 35 years. Her husband, Denny, and her 2 sons, Luke and Justin, all graduated from Centerburg HS. She retired in 2024 after teaching English and journalism at CHS for 21 years. She and Denny have 1 delightful grandson, Wesley.
Karen first learned about LifeWise through friends in her church in Johnstown. When she found out that Centerburg began the program this year, she decided to be a part of teaching Centerburg kids again!

Lorena has been a wonderful addition to our team as a part-time teacher! She currently lives in Mt. Liberty. Lorena has worked as a substitute teacher in school systems for many years, and she also lends her time to Lynd Fruit Farm. Lorena is an avid baker, and she also enjoys tapping/clogging and reading. What Lorena most enjoys about LifeWise is that it gives the children many opportunities for hands-on learning of the God's Word.

Say hello to a familiar face! Pat serves as a LifeWise Board member and classroom volunteer. A life-long Centerburg resident, Pat taught middle school Social Studies and coached both football and basketball at Centerburg. He and his wife, Taffy, have 2 grown sons and 2 grandchildren. They attend Oak Creek Bible Church near Croton/Johnstown, and they built, own, and operate Whitey's Carwash in Centerburg.
What drew Pat to LifeWise is that fact that it is solely Bible-based, not based on a specific church's doctrine. That way, the students receive Biblical information that enables them to purse whatever church community they would choose. Pat also appreciates that LifeWise reinforces the much-needed characteristics of respect and discipline.
