In a wonderful short submission from member Chuck Hoffhine, we have the opportunity to hear from a non-verbal autistic student at his graduation. Consider this what my younger colleagues refer to as a "palate cleanser" ahead of tomorrow's program featuring three of our own Past District Governors, Bob Kuck, Jim Hunt, and Bart Mahoney.

It's Program Time!

We're grateful to honorary member PDG Bob Kuck for this week's program.

This video looks at the history of Cuba to explain why the island has followed such a different path to the rest of Latin America. In particular, it explores why it gained independence late from Spain, why it became a US protectorate, how the Cuban Revolution began and how it has developed. It begins with Carlos Manuel de Cespedes and ends with Miguel Diaz Canel and of course covers Fidel Castro, Gerardo Machado and Fulgencio Batista.
