On Earth Day, the Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments and the Lower CT River Trust Trust attended Land Conservation Day at the Capitol hosted by Connecticut Land Conservation Council, joining partners from across the state to celebrate land conservation successes and ongoing efforts to protect Connecticut’s natural resources 🌿

The day brought together land trusts, municipalities, state leaders, and advocates for meaningful conversations, shared stories, and engagement with legislators on the importance of continued support for land conservation.

We’re proud to be part of the conversation in support of Connecticut’s conserved lands and natural resources.

Dr. J. Melvin Woody is a founding board member of the LCRLT.
