Rotary Club of Center The Center Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at noon in the Civic Room of the John D. Windham Civic Center. "Service Above Self"

The Center Rotary Club first met on May 5, 1925 and was chartered by Rotary International on May 26, 1925 and has been a part of the community ever since. 100 Years of Service!

For our September 1st program, we welcomed CASA of Deep East Texas to share their mission of training and supporting volunteers who advocate for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.

Rotary is proud to support and learn more about organizations working to make a difference in the lives of children and families throughout our community. 💙

🎉 Congratulations to the 2026-2027 Rotary Club of Center Officers & Board! 🎉

This week, we had the privilege of swearing in our new Rotary Club of Center President, Chad Nehring, and celebrating the installation of our 2026-2027 officers and board members. We look forward to another year of service, fellowship, and making a positive impact in our community.

A special thank you to Lawrence Davis for his dedicated leadership and service as President over the past year. Your commitment to Rotary and our community is truly appreciated.

The Rotary Club of Center just finished building raised garden beds which are wheel chair accessible and donated them to area skilled nursing care facilities as part of their Rotary District 5910 Grant Project for the 2025-2026 Rotary Year. The club also purchased personal care and cleaning items and donated them to the senior nutrition site for bingo prizes. This is the clubs 100th year! May 5, 2026 is the 101st Birthday of the Rotary Club of Center. Today's program celebrated Women in Rotary (https://www.rotary.org/en/history-women-rotary) because yesterday, May 4th, was the 39 Anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Courts decision which said women may not be excluded from membership. Rotary International officially voted to accept women members in January 1989 when the Council on Legislation held their next met. Together, we all can make a difference!
