Phil Anthropy advertises in the local papers, letting people know we are here to help them. When a letter from a Hero comes in, we review it for content. If we are unsure of what the Hero is requesting or if it doesn’t fall under the Phil Anthropy guidelines (ie. about someone else, not themselves), we will contact them with a letter requesting more information. Once we have complete information,
we remove personal contact info and send the letter out to our Sponsors. The first Sponsor to notify us that the letter speaks to them, and they would like to take it, is now in charge of the project. At this point, we send the Sponsor the Hero’s contact info and let the rest of the Sponsors know who is in charge. We do this so if another Sponsor is interested in the letter, but wasn’t the first to respond, they can be part of the Specialist Team and contact the Sponsor directly. The Sponsor reviews the letter and, depending on the request, may refer to our list of Specialists or Resources for support. The Sponsor may also choose to handle the request themselves, or assemble their own team of Specialists. Phil Anthropy can be contacted via e-mail with questions or concerns regarding the project. It is also a good idea to update Phil periodically if it is a long-term project. Once the project is complete, the Sponsor notifies Phil via e-mail. Definitions
